Return and Refund Policy

At The Opulent Bee Candle Company, LLC, we take great care in creating high-quality, handcrafted floral candles and arrangements.  Due to the unique nature of our work, our policies are designed to protect both our clients and our business while meeting industry standards.

  

1.  All Sales Final

Because our products are custom-made, hand-poured, and often event-specific, all sales are final.  We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order is confirmed, except as provided in Section 2 below.


This applies to:

  • Custom scents, colors, or designs.
  • Bulk or wholesale orders for resale.
  • We provide event orders for weddings, corporate functions, conferences, and private engagements.


Wisconsin note: Under Wis. Stat.  § 402.719, sellers of custom or specially manufactured goods may limit remedies, provided such limitations are disclosed to the buyer — which this policy accomplishes.

  

2.  Damaged or Incorrect Products

If you receive a damaged or incorrect product, please notify us within five business days of receipt:

To qualify for resolution, you may be required to provide clear photographs of:

  1. The damaged or incorrect item, and
  2. The original packaging, including the shipping label.

Once reviewed, we may offer:

  • A      replacement of the affected item,
  • A      repair (where feasible), or
  • A      refund to the original payment method.

Resolution method will be at our discretion based on inventory, event deadlines, and practicality.

  

3.  Return Process (Eligible Items Only)

If a return is approved for a damaged or incorrect item:

  1. Contact us within five business days of delivery with your order number, description of the issue, and photographs.
  2. Follow the return instructions provided by our customer service team.
  3. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.
  4. Once received and inspected, we will process your replacement or refund.

  

4.  Refund Terms

  • Refund will be issued only to the original payment method.
  • Refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your payment provider.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable, except when the return is due to our error.

  

5.  Event & Wholesale Orders

Event and wholesale orders are subject to the deposit and cancellation terms in our [Terms & Conditions], which take precedence over this policy.

  • Refund for damaged or incorrect event/wholesale items will be calculated only for the affected portion of the order and will not override non-refundable deposit or cancellation terms.

  

6.  Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays, damages, or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural      disasters
  • Transportation interruptions
  • Labor  strikes
  • Pandemics or governmental restrictions

In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to work with you to reschedule or adjust services.

  

7.  Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Wisconsin law, our liability for any claim relating to damaged or incorrect products is limited to the purchase price of the affected item(s).

Terms and Conditions

1.  Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Opulent Bee Candle Company, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) website—including browsing, purchasing products, or booking services—you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our incorporated policies.  If you disagree, do not use our services.

  

2.  Business Entity & Governing Law

Opulent Bee Candle Company, LLC is a Wisconsin limited liability company governed by Chapter 183 of the Wisconsin Statutes (Revised Uniform Limited Liability Company Act).  These Terms and Conditions are binding under Wisconsin law.


All matters relating to these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.  Venue for disputes lies in [County], Wisconsin, unless arbitration is elected.

  

3.  Payment Terms


3.1 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept major credit cards, digital payment platforms, and checks (where permitted).  All payments must be in U.S. dollars.


3.2 Returned Checks & Declined Payments

  • Returned or declined payments—including insufficient funds, closed accounts, or stop-payments—will incur a $35 fee.
  • Interest accrues on unpaid balances at the maximum rate permitted by Wisconsin law from the original due date until payment is received.
  • If payment is not made within 10 business days of notice, we may cancel or delay orders and refer accounts to collections.  Clients are responsible for all reasonable collection costs, including attorney’s fees.

3.3 Late Payment

  • Late payments incur the greater of $25 or 1.5% per month of the outstanding balance.
  • Payment disputes must be reported in writing within 14 days of the invoice.

  

4.  Orders, Pricing & Availability

  • Prices and availability may change without notice.
  • We reserve the right to correct errors, cancel orders, or refuse service.
  • Large custom orders and wholesale purchases may require non-refundable deposits or full prepayment.

  

5.  Event, Wholesale & Custom Orders


5.1 Definitions

  • Event Orders: Weddings, corporate functions, conferences, and private events.
  • Wholesale Orders: Bulk purchases for resale or business use.
  • Custom      Orders: Products made to client specifications (e.g., scents, colors,      packaging).

5.2 Deposits & Payments

  • 50%  non-refundable deposit is required to secure event or wholesale bookings.
  • Balance due 30 days before the event or shipment.
  • Orders not paid in full by the deadline may be canceled without a deposit refund.

5.3 Cancellation Policy

  • 90+  days before event: Full refund of payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit.
  • 31–89   days prior: 50% refund of payments made beyond the deposit.
  • 30   days or fewer: No refunds; full balance due.
  • Cancellations must be in writing (email or certified mail).

5.4 Order Changes

  • Changes must be requested at least 21 days before the event or shipment.  Additional costs may apply.

5.5 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control (natural disasters, strikes, transportation issues, pandemics, acts of God).  In such cases, we will work with clients to reschedule or adjust services.

  

6.   Shipping, Returns & Refunds

Refer to our [Shipping Policy] and [Return & Refund Policy], which are incorporated herein by reference.

  

7.   Privacy Policy


7.1 Information We Collect

  • Person details (name, address, email, phone).
  • Payment details (processed securely; complete credit card data not stored).
  • Event and order specifics.
  • Technical information (IP address, browser type, cookies).

7.2 How We Use It

  • Process orders and deliver products/services.
  • Communicate updates and support.
  • Manage events and wholesale orders.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

7.3 Sharing

  • Only with trusted service providers under confidentiality obligations.
  • As required by law or legal proceedings.

7.4 Data Security & Retention

  • Industry-standard safeguards are used.
  • Retained only as long as necessary or legally required.

7.5 Your Rights

  • Access,      correct, or delete your data by contacting us.


8.  Intellectual Property

All content, including product designs, trademarks, and images, belongs to Opulent Bee Candle Company, LLC and may not be reproduced without written consent.

  

9.   Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of our products or services.

  

10 . Arbitration & Dispute Resolution


10.1 Binding Arbitration

Except for small claims court matters, disputes arising from purchases, event orders, cancellations, shipping, or services will be resolved by binding arbitration in [County], Wisconsin, under American Arbitration Association rules.

10.2 Procedure

  • Arbitration conducted by a single neutral arbitrator.
  • Each party bears its own attorney’s fees unless otherwise required by law.

10.3 Waiver of Jury Trial & Class Action

Both parties waive the right to a jury trial.  Claims must be brought individually.

  

11.  Severability

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid.

  

12.   Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
